“Former industrialist who has shaped Ukraine’s production landscape and made it more sustainable; born in Pokotilovo in 1944, graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Chemical Technology in 1969.”

After an active and fulfilling life, Mykola Yankovsky is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, spending time with his family and friends. He has lived a private life for some years, but during his career as an entrepreneur, Mykola Yankovsky substantially shaped Ukraine’s chemical production landscape. With his visionary mind and love for his country, he brought in pioneering inventions and business practices that were largely unknown when the Soviet Union came to an end. Among many forward-looking endeavors, he successfully transformed Donetsk’s industry to meet recognized social and ecological standards.
